Sock it to me Monday – Rainbow Rollers Completed!

Note – most links below are to Ravelry. Proceed with caution if you’re one of the people having issues with the new layout.

How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was pretty relaxing. I watched some live sports on TV – it was golf as a PGA tournament was not too far from me. I wouldn’t normally watch golf, but it was good background noise as I finished off Clue 4 of the Through the Loops MKAL.

Ahh that was a fun little project. I’m happy to have completed another pair of more “traditional” rainbow socks for Pride Month. I love this ankle sock pattern because it’s a great way to use up scraps! Not too much to say about these, they were really fun.

I fell behind a bit on the test knit socks, the due date is July 15th so I still have time to finish those off. I just picked up the gusset stitches on the first one. It has a linen stitch heel which is really interesting and something I hadn’t done before.

In other knitting news, I just got caught up in time with the TTL MKAL for the release of Clue 5 today. I can’t say enough good things about this pattern. Every section is different but they blend together so well! Last night, I also cast on my “Rheinbeck” sweater, the Ranch Coat by Joji Locatelli. Even though there’s no in-person Rheinbeck this year, my friends and I are all still planning to finish our sweaters by that time and take some nice photos together. We are all making different sweaters out of the same yarn.

Hope everyone has a good week! I’m looking forward to the long weekend for 4th of July.

  1. Your new rainbow socks are so cute! And your TTL MKAL is looking great 🙂 I can’t wait to see your Rheinbeck sweater grow. (I’m not in on the joke about “Rheinbeck,” but I rarely am!!)

    1. Yes with contrasting heels toes and cuffs you can make a pair of these from even 1 50g skein! I had about 40g leftover from a cowl I made with other grey yarn so now I have a matching cowl and sock set haha

      1. Wow, that’s awesome! I don’t usually bother with contrasting heels and toes, but it looks so good on this pattern that I think I’ll have to make an exception.
