FO Friday – Sun and Solace Tee

Details of one of my recently completed test knits!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all had a good week. This weekend I’m going to in person knitting club and virtual church like always. I’m also attending a virtual fundraising dinner for the non-profit my mom is the Chair of the Board for.

I know, I know, two FO posts two days in a row! I haven’t been that productive – I finished this tee a month ago, but it was a test knit and the designer asked that we not share completed objects until the release. The pattern was published Wednesday, so here we are!

I really love this top! It’s a nice transitional piece for fall or spring to wear under cardigan or denim jacket or to wear on its own. I really enjoyed the process of knitting it as well. The slip stitch sections kept it engaging while having stockinette stitches for meditation as well. The Merino Linen yarn was really nice to work with as well. At the end of the day, I’m happy with the colors, it’s a perfect neutral top that will be able to be paired with a lot!

The pattern has TWENTY different sizes, and Tina uses a “pay what you can” model on her website. She is a great example of a designer who is really doing all she can to ensure accessibility within the knitting community. This is the third pattern I’ve tested for her and have really enjoyed making and wearing all for them. Please do check it out!

  1. It’s like you time travelled or something. Wow 2 FO garments! Great job

  2. A great neutral and the stripes of stitch patterns make the top look very interesting to the eyes.

  3. Oh, THIS IS AWESOME. It looks really, really good, and the drape is super cool! I must say, usually when I like a pattern I’ll add it to my Rav queue, but this time I’m just going to go buy it. Must knit one. (Eventually. I am a fickle knitter sometimes.)

I think you weren’t sure about the color choices at the start, but I think it turned out really good in the neutrals!

  4. It’s beautiful, and looks great on you!

  5. Beautiful top and it looks wonderful on you!

  6. Ohhh, I already saw this yesterday when you ravelled it – it looks so good on you! The colours compliment you so well (especially since you have dark hair) and it loks simply fantastic! Congratulations on a wonderful FO! 🙂

  7. It’s a gorgeous top. Is the yarn from Moondrake? I love her yarn. I met her last year when I was visiting family in OKC. I was at a local yarn shop and she was dropping off new yarns.

  8. That top is beautiful!
