A new book at least – Unraveled Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone! It’s been a while since I linked up As Kat Knits weekly update on knitting and reading.

This week I’ve been working on the Plush Sweater and Slipstravaganza MKAL as planned. Nothing too different to share there! I’ll definitely fall a bit behind on the MKAL, I had/have some stuff to do in the evenings this week so my knitting time is a bit reduced and I’m focused on getting to my stitch goal for the Plush Sweater. Yesterday I added formulas to my Excel tracking to project when I’ll finish a project (isn’t English fun) based on the average completed each day, and I’ll probably be finishing the sweater somewhere in the 11/7 – 11/10 range. The due date on this is 11/20, so that still leave me plenty of time!

I didn’t do much reading at all through September, but I’m back at it with my newest Book of the Month book. I got this one, Ties that Tether, as well as another because there was two that looked interesting to me! I started this book Monday, and it’s a pretty quick read as I’m already about 1/2 way through. I’m really liking it so far – it’s definitely drama and romance filled, which is not necessarily my favorite thing, but I’m just enjoying this light and easy reading. I like hearing how the narrator’s Nigerian heritage permeates her family relationships. And ugh, this is the church nerd in me, but each time I take out this book to read it I get the hymn “Blest Be the Ties that Bind” stuck in my head. 🤦‍♀️

Hope you’re all having a good week! Knitting or reading anything good I should know about?
