Hello everyone! I took a couple week break from blogging there for the holidays. I hope everyone had a nice relaxing time and was able to find some moments of joy at the end of this challenging year. I’ve actually got a lot to catch up on, but I guess I’ll start by doing a December wrap up. Since it’s Sunday, I’ll include it as part of my Year of Projects (Rav link) posts.

Lots of great progress in December, especially getting Slipstravaganza off the needles! I also made a ton of progress on my Druid circle sweater (hoping to maybe get that cast off this week?) and enough progress on my Caspain to ensure that I won’t frog it per the rule I gave myself. I will frog the Danzig shawl this week, I didn’t make any progress on it and I want to hold myself to what I said in May. After finishing Slipstravaganza, I tried to work on multiple things at once, but honestly I found that a bit difficult. While I love the actual act of knitting, I also really like seeing significant progress, so this usually just means I’ll knit on one thing until it’s done.
Since this is a Year of Projects post, I will say that I did a good amount of sewing in December as well! The big project was an apron I gave my sister for Christmas, and I have a post planned for that tomorrow :). I’ve also got more sewing projects in the works so I’m looking forward to continue sharing my sewing journey.
I had a lovely few weeks around the holidays. My family Zoomed a lot on Chriustmas Eve and Christmas, and I was able to do some nice cooking – my quiche for Christmas morning and scalloped potatoes to supplement my aunt’s take out lasagana were both delicious. I missed seeing family in person, but also cherished some nice alone time with my sweater and basketball games. I was able to see some friends outside the past few days, and I loved getting to do that (though I still don’t quite think I’ve warmed up from our four hour open door garage chat last night).
