May was a good month for the frog pond! I frogged the wedding shawl, which I talked about doing last month, but then I added two other things. The Grandpa jumper sleeves are not so much a frog, but my roommate took them away because her mom has a friend who she thinks can finish it, I feel bad for not finishing the sweater in the five years I had it… ooops! And then I decided to frog the Casual Fashion Queen socks. I realized there wasn’t enough yarn for a full pair of socks by like… a lot, I don’t know what I was thinking when I grabbed the skein! I had tried to add another skein but I wasn’t going to like how it was going to look. So I just frogged it. The sock served its purpose as something for my hands to do while out and about and in March and April, but I’d rather work on something I’m excited about.
Lots of great knitting and I’m excited to have cast off two big test knits this month and can work on some relaxing knits in June. I made great progress yesterday on Princess Fiona and I’m hoping to finish off the Wee Envelope this week maybe? I think the baby is due any day now so I really should get on that. We’re on the body now so it’s just a few inches of stockinette and then it will be done. I think once these sweaters are done I might start on one of the long term hibernating shawl WIPs and try to get those done.
Hope everyone had a good month! What’s in your plans for June?
