April WIP Wrap-Up

Happy May! I am looking forward to spring here in CT, though it’s been pretty cold this past week. Hopefully soon we’ll start to warm up and have some beautiful days perfect for some outdoor knitting! I got a lot of knitting done in April, especially since my show finished off the first weekend. While stage managing is great, it’s also really nice having more free time!

Hmm let’s see lots to talk about this month! Finishing Vertices felt great, I just kind of buckled down and put a ton of work in on that so I could call it done. I’m planning a formal FO post with a little bit more about it tomorrow. And while I didn’t finish my socks this month which was kind of a goal, they are close and I will definitely finish them this week! We are going up to the cape this weekend, and I have a four hour car ride each way so there will definitely be lots of knitting time. I’m kind of hoping to finish them off before then though so I don’t have to bring two projects.

The big project I started this month was Bee’s Knees by Thea Coleman. This will be my Ravelry sweater! It’s such a gorgeous pattern and I’m finding it enjoyable to knit so far. The texture makes it interesting and there’s those cables but since they’re on the front they don’t slow you down too much. I’m looking forward to just working on this slowly but surely throughout the spring and summer. I don’t need to start quite this early, but one of my friends is actually done! It will be nice to not be stressed about finishing.

This month will probably be a lot of Bee’s Knees, blanket squares, and probably a new pair of socks once I finish Little Paddocks. What will you be working on this month?

  1. All your projects are looking great! You are making good progress on your blanket squares, and I’m looking forward to seeing Bee’s Knees done – that’s a nifty pattern. Is that the green project in your photo?

  2. I’m looking forward to your Vertices Unite post! I love the colors you picked for it. And I love the socks, too! I’m going to have to check out that pattern, because it looks like a great balance between simple and complicated… just enough to keep it interesting without being fussy!
