Making Progress – Unraveled Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope your week is going well so far. It’s been a bit busy here at work and with some church activities so just making my way through. But I do have some progress to share for Unraveled Wednesday, especially on the reading front!

This week’s reading

Since we last chatted, I finished Ties That Tether, started and finished Atomic Love, and started The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. Phew! I would rate both Ties that Tether and Atomic Love a 4/5. I especially liked how both these books really explored the mental health of their main characters and try to get at why they did what they did. I’m only about 2 chapters in to The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, but I want to finish it in the next few weeks because a local bookstore is having a Zoom book club about this book. I just kind of stumbled upon it, but it seems like a cool thing to try and do.

On the knitting front, I’m still working on the Plush Sweater and Slipstravaganza MKAL. For the sweater, I’ve finished one of the fronts, which according to my Excel tracking, means I’m just about 50% done with the knitting. I’m really loving the construction and details of this sweater, and am looking forward to wearing it and showing it off to you! On Slipstravaganza, I’ll definitely continue to fall behind, as I’m still pretty early into the extra clue (clue 2), with clue 4 being released Friday. I’m actually ok with that though, I am digging the pattern but it’s just last on my priority list. Both those items have taken a backseat this week though. My cousin is having a baby, and the baby shower is Saturday. I came up with the idea to knit something, so I started a baby version of Love Note on Monday. I figured if I made a me-sized version in 9 days, I could make a baby-sized one in 5! And I’ll probably finish it tonight, I’m on the sleeves. This is actually the first baby thing I’ve made and it’s so precious and cute!
