Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope your week is going well so far. It’s been a bit busy here at work and with some church activities so just making my way through. But I do have some progress to share for Unraveled Wednesday, especially on the reading front!
Since we last chatted, I finished Ties That Tether, started and finished Atomic Love, and started The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. Phew! I would rate both Ties that Tether and Atomic Love a 4/5. I especially liked how both these books really explored the mental health of their main characters and try to get at why they did what they did. I’m only about 2 chapters in to The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, but I want to finish it in the next few weeks because a local bookstore is having a Zoom book club about this book. I just kind of stumbled upon it, but it seems like a cool thing to try and do.
On the knitting front, I’m still working on the Plush Sweater and Slipstravaganza MKAL. For the sweater, I’ve finished one of the fronts, which according to my Excel tracking, means I’m just about 50% done with the knitting. I’m really loving the construction and details of this sweater, and am looking forward to wearing it and showing it off to you! On Slipstravaganza, I’ll definitely continue to fall behind, as I’m still pretty early into the extra clue (clue 2), with clue 4 being released Friday. I’m actually ok with that though, I am digging the pattern but it’s just last on my priority list. Both those items have taken a backseat this week though. My cousin is having a baby, and the baby shower is Saturday. I came up with the idea to knit something, so I started a baby version of Love Note on Monday. I figured if I made a me-sized version in 9 days, I could make a baby-sized one in 5! And I’ll probably finish it tonight, I’m on the sleeves. This is actually the first baby thing I’ve made and it’s so precious and cute!
Have a good week everyone!
Congratulations to your cousin on the baby!! I saw your lovenote on ravelry, and I think it’s super cute!
Your sweater and the shawl look really cool – and yeah, in the case of baby knitting, I think I wouldn’t worry as well if I was getting a little behind. It’s not that the next clue gets unlocked only if you managed to complete everything in time.
Love how you’re doing the West Mystery KAL. The baby jumper WIP made me smile.
You’ve been a reading machine! I’m glad you’ve found some books to enjoy lately. I have the Invisible Life of Addie LaRue on Audible right now and I’m waiting for the right time to dive in! I love Victoria Schwab.
Your knitting looks great, too. That baby sweater makes me squeal and the colors in your MKAL are playing together so well! Enjoy the rest of your week 🙂
Aw baby knits are just the BEST, so quick to make and adorable when finished.
Lovely knits you are working on. The sweater for your baby cousin looks like it will be so cute and I love the color. Take care.
Sounds like some great progress! Congrats to your cousin on the baby. Also, aren’t baby sweaters so fun to knit? They go SO FAST!
Love all your project, but the baby Love Notes is the absolute cutest thing! The books sound interesting – glad you are finding interesting books. That can sometimes be difficult!
Addie Larue is on my radar. I am on the library wait list for it! Your knitting is just gorgeous – especially that slip stitching! 🙂 (and I love the lay out of your blog! GORGEOUS and beautifully different!!)
