Well Hello There

It’s been a while, huh? Somehow after last year I said I was going to do less theater (I basically spent last March-December doing something theatrical at least 10 hours a week), and while I did have the first three months of the year with no theater at all, I still somehow ended up doing 5 shows this year… oops. There’s just only so many hours in the day and theater can be very draining, so I just don’t have energy to write, read, and respond in the blog space, even if I have energy for crafting.

But I do miss a lot about getting to write on this blog. There’s a great community here that it’s really fun to be a part of. And I feel like I haven’t really kept track of or appreciated the crafting I’ve done this year because I’m not able to like reflect on it. I’ve barely even taken photos of what I’ve finished or worked on this year. And looking back to 2020, that is why I wanted to start doing this at all. So next year I’m REALLY committed to taking a break from theater (I know, I know, but I have some life changes coming up that’s going to make this easier) and so the hope is that you’ll see me more in this space.

Here’s a few updates as to what I’ve been up to in the last little bit.

Hopefully you’ll hear from me again soon! I finished the knitting on the Sinister Catdigan tonight so I’m excited to show that off once it’s blocked and buttoned up. And I’m getting ready to start the WestKnits MKAL, Go Go Dynamo in a few weeks.

  1. So good to hear from you again. I hope all is well. LOVE your Rhinebeck sweater. Is your group with “matching” sweaters going again? I love socks and beer too. I so enjoy the monthly knitting group at a nearby brewery. I also love socks and coffee as I have two monthly groups that meet for coffee and treats.

    1. We made matching sweaters but sadly two of us can’t go – I have theater commitments and my other friend is getting surgery. But we’ll be sure to get a photo at some point! I have more knitting and beer and knitting and coffee photos than I can count at this point 🤣

  2. So happy you posted again! Thank you for a vibrant update! Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures but very glad you’re living your best life. Enjoy & beautiful knitting!

  3. So good to see you! It looks like the last few years have been so full and you’ve been having fun. I’m so happy to read about it!

  4. Well hello again! You certainly have been a busy person! After reading your post and looking at all your photos I must admit, I was totally awed by tue cross stitch. How hard is it to work on black cloth? I would think a light underneath it would almost be a must. But, it is absolutely gorgeous.

    1. It definitely took some adjusting, I found a reading lamp around my neck really helped.

  5. Good to hear from you again! But yes—theater can just take over unexpectedly like that. Looks like fun times, though!

  6. Well, hello again indeed! What a fun – FULL – catch up post! I love that sweater… it is perfection!

  7. Good to see you here again! You have been busy 🙂
