Happy Friday everyone! I’ve recently been in a mood of trying to finish off a few lingering projects so I can cast on the WestKnits MKAL in October and not add to an ongoing list of unfinished projects. I finished all of these this week, and most were at least 75% done so it wasn’t too much effort.

This is a nice little pair of toe socks. I started taking an occasional contemporary dance class, and I found that it’s really nice to have my toes and heels free to feel the floor but have still a little bit of warmth and ability to spin. This is my second pair of this type of sock, and a made an adjustment on these with a smaller “foot”, the slip stitches on the sole, and a slightly wider big toe, and they’re just about perfect.

I also finished off two quick little hats which I started in January and March respectively. The left is a Musselburgh out of some mystery yarn I dyed at a knitting retreat in 2019, and the bottom is just ribbing and stockinette with a stitch count that felt right. I only cast this on because I was going to see a play and needed something to do with my hands, I didn’t have a sock project at the time and I was on the decreases of the Musselburgh. It’s Caron simply soft yarn. Not too much to say about either of these but they’re no longer active projects so yay!
This weekend I have a little recital with my voice teacher tonight, then I’m helping out with a drag show at the theater Saturday. Saturday will a nice chill catch up day, with hopefully lots of crafting.
