Happy Sunday! I know it’s very late in the day for the majority of my readers, but it’s still Sunday here, so it’s time for a Year of Projects post! Year of Projects is a Ravelry group of bloggers who share a plan for their projects for a year, and then blog weekly about it. You can see my plan here .

The biggest thing in my life is that I did officially move to Seattle! I had a bit of a comedy of errors getting into my apartment Monday night and Tuesday morning, basically don’t move on a holiday haha. But I am already loving living here. On Friday night I walked down to Pike Place Market to pick up some items I had ordred from the Italian grocery (that’s what the picture above is from), and I figured I’d pop into Yarn Dragon to see if they knew of any knitting clubs. Lo and behold, they host one Friday nights at 4, so I hung out and met some nice people. I got two rows done on my Ocean Apron, which i threw in my bag in case I decided to take the bus home.
The most kniting I’ve done since I last posted is on my Exploration Station. I expanded the pattern by adding to more wedges, and then every section had to be a little longer to account for the math of the increases. It’s HUGE and shanklet-sized already, and I still need to do the color A border. But I’m getting there and maybe I’ll finish this week? I’ve really been loving working on this, it’s so easy to chill out to. The only annoying thing is that now it’s way too big to take anywhere.

I’ve put a few rows on my Mesotherm socks, but that’s a weird project because it’s not mindless at all. So while I can take it places, I can’t watch TV or read a book while working on it. In order to solve this problem, I cast on a new pair of socks today (I finally brought the extra yarn I had shipped up to my apartment from my car). I was going to a PWHL team beteween Boston and Montreal at the Climate Pledge Areana, so wanted some knitting for the game. This is some White Birch Fiber Arts yarn and a basic 68 st toe up sock.

Otherwise it’s been an awesome week so far in Seattle! I’m still figuring out what my schedule is like (I’m working 6am – 3pm and fully remote right now), where I go grocery shopping, how much I do vs how much I stay in, stuff like that. But I’ve gotten to do some fun things this first week, see my cousins a bit, and generally just walking a lot and exploring the city.
