I didn’t really quite realize this as it was happening, but this month is the most I’ve knit in a month since I’ve started tracking it last August. And TBH, probably the most I’ve knit ever. I can’t think of another time when I would have averaged more than 4K stitches per day. It’s a little ridiculous, and not always a good thing, as it sometimes feels like I’m knitting in place of anything else. So much of the knitting this month was Shawlography, and I’m really happy I was able to keep up with it. It looks like I’ll finish within the week too, which is super cool. Before I saw the last clue, I was kind of hoping to have finished it yesterday so I could cast it off in October, but the border has 25K stitches in it, and even though I did a lot of knitting this month, more than 8K st per day for 3 days straight is a lot even for me. 🤣

For November, I’ll be hoping to finish off Shawlography this week, and then definitely the fall socks should be done pretty soon too. I’m just about to start the heel on the second sock. I’ll probably then work mostly on Wavelength at night and the stockinette socks on the bus. I think I’ll be doing those afterthought everything but we’ll see. Starting next week, I’m not working 5 days a week until January (a lot of PTO I had to use up!) so there will be continued lots of knitting time ahead. It’s looking good to end the year with over 1M stitches in 2021, though last November was my busiest knitting month until this one, so lots of dropping stitches coming up too.

Hope everyone had a good month and has some fun plans ahead as we head into the holiday season!

  1. Whew! I have been BUSY with those projects – great work on so many things! I’ll be anxious to see your finished Shawlography. It’s looking great already. Enjoy that time off!

  2. Shawlography looks trule Stephen West-ish – wow! I really like your colour combination. 🙂 I’m glad that you can slow down a little for the end of the year, I mean – YEAH knitting time, right?
