Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all had a good week. This weekend I’m going to in person knitting club and virtual church like always. I’m also attending a virtual fundraising dinner for the non-profit my mom is the Chair of the Board for.
I know, I know, two FO posts two days in a row! I haven’t been that productive – I finished this tee a month ago, but it was a test knit and the designer asked that we not share completed objects until the release. The pattern was published Wednesday, so here we are!
- Pattern: Sun and Solace by Tina Tse
- Yarn: Merino Linen from Moodrake Yarn Co
- Timeline: Cast on 8/4; cast off 8/12
I really love this top! It’s a nice transitional piece for fall or spring to wear under cardigan or denim jacket or to wear on its own. I really enjoyed the process of knitting it as well. The slip stitch sections kept it engaging while having stockinette stitches for meditation as well. The Merino Linen yarn was really nice to work with as well. At the end of the day, I’m happy with the colors, it’s a perfect neutral top that will be able to be paired with a lot!
The pattern has TWENTY different sizes, and Tina uses a “pay what you can” model on her website. She is a great example of a designer who is really doing all she can to ensure accessibility within the knitting community. This is the third pattern I’ve tested for her and have really enjoyed making and wearing all for them. Please do check it out!
