Welp, this was another slightly weird month. I had a little bit more brain power to knit, but all I really wanted to work on was my blanket. I did spend some time on Corstorphine (finishing up the first sleeve), and Vertices United (moving on to section 3). But mostly I just wanted to knit squares, squares, and more squares. You can see that I actually started the third section – there was a period of time where I needed a travel project but was too lazy to get my ball winder out to start my next pair of socks, so I just started the next section since I can throw little scraps in a bag and just go. Speaking of those socks, I’m really loving the combo of pattern and yarn because it makes my little Agatha Christie loving heart happy. I’ve got a sock it to me Monday post drafted where I’ll talk about those!
It’s also slightly frustrating that even though I knit 49 squares (!!) this month, that really only got me back to where I was after only knitting 6 in February, so now I’m back on track of needing to knit a square every day but two each month. I am going to really love this blanket, but I’m also sort of exhausted by it at this point. I also probably need to finish a few more socks and shawls and things so I actually have some more yarn I’ve used for the blanket! Oh well, we’ll get there.
In April, I am hoping to start my Rheinbeck sweater and maybe finish off Vertices? Corstorphine is definitely going to take a bit of a break, I have no idea why I thought I could finish that before it gets warm! While I have AC so don’t mind working on sweaters in the summer, this is definitely a winter sweater so it’s going into hibernation for a bit!
What will you be working on this month?
Wow! Look at how productive you have been. I like your stitch tally… I’m going the super simple route and just keeping track of the grams.
You have so much get and go and zest for life, you are a joy to read and watch and hear.
You are making great progress on your projects! Your VU is looking great so far 🙂
Your blanket is looking great and no single colour looks out of place. Well done for catching up with your target on it, you are really good at planning and record keeping. Its inspirational
These all look great! I mostly put my blanket squares on hold in March so that I could knit a test knit sock, so I’m looking forward to getting back to them in April. Also, that’s a really good idea about starting the third section as travel knitting!
